RCIA/ Sacramental Preparation for Adults

RCIA is for all people over the age of seven that have not received Baptism. It is a yearlong program that will help educate and prepare people to receive the sacraments of imitation at the Easter vigil. Sacramental Preparation for Adults is for people that have been baptized but have not received either first communion or confirmation or both.

When: Sunday following the 9 AM mass (10-11:30 AM) for the RCIA for Adults and Sacramental Preparation for Adults / Tuesday 6-7 PM for RCIA for Children

Groups: RCIA for Adults, RCIA for Children, Sacramental Preparation for Adults (The age cut-off is 15 years old between Adult and Children) (Sacramental Preparation is for people that just need Confirmation and/or Communion)

Capacity per Class: no more than 15 people per class

Catechist: We have 1 or 2 people. We are looking for more people that are interested.

Classrooms: 13 Classrooms

Cancellation of Classes: Classes will follow the Green Bay Area Public School District cancelation for the Children’s program. Classes will follow Mass cancelation for the Adult programs.

Prayer: The classes will go over prayers. The sponsors are expected to work with the candidate or catechumen throughout the program to help them to learn the prayers.

Sponsor Duties/Meetings: Once selected you will receive a packet of information.

Registration Fee: $60 for 1 Person; $90 for 2 People; $110 for three or more People (Sacramental Fee $25 per Family)
Registration: We accept people year round. We require a full year in the program before receiving the sacraments. Classes start in mid-September and go until Pentecost. Requirements when registering for RCIA:

  1. Payment of the total fee or at least 50% of the registration fee.
  2. Become a member of the parish or update your information

Requirements when registering for Sacramental Preparation for Adults:

  1. Payment of the total fee or at least 50% of the registration fee.
  2. Update your information or become a member of the parish.
  3. Baptism
  4. A copy of your Baptism Certificate for our records.

Supplies for Classes

  • 2 Pencils or Pens
  • 1 Notebook
  • 1 Folder with pockets
  • 1 Pack of index cards 3×5 with spiral
  • 1 Box of Kleenex
  • 1 4-pack of Toilet Paper

Once a month we ask for one item per person of the following donations to help towards the Food Pantry:

  • September: Jelly or Jam
  • October: Honey or Maple Syrup
  • November: Can of Vegetables
  • December: Package of cookies
  • January: Can of Soup
  • February: Can of Tuna or Chicken
  • March: Box of Pasta
  • April: Box of Salted Crackers
  • May: Can of Fruit
