Fund-Raising to Help the People of God

Many parishioners have already received invitations to receptions and meetings about a fund-raising campaign initiated by the Diocese of Green Bay. As a parish in the Diocese, we are involved!

The “one by One” Campaign (small “o” is correct), is a campaign that will help the Diocese and the parish to serve the People of God, now and into the future. It is NOT for simple maintenance of the current parish. The funds we raise will facilitate our ministries in order to respond to the needs of our parishioners for a long time.

I ask that you pay attention to the information that you receive and listen to the presentations that will be made about the campaign in the coming weeks. The Diocese will ask for a commitment, a sacrifice! We want EVERYONE in the parish family to make a commitment, a promise, a pledge toward our parish goal.

Not everyone can give the same amount, but we can all make a sacrifice that is equally demanding upon us. Young adults, who still live with their parents and are working, are also asked to participate. Children understand sacrifice and normally want to contribute to good causes to help themselves and others.

We need to impress upon the children the need to participate in the future of their parish family. Their involvement and contribution will be necessary for the parish in which someday they will want to celebrate their wedding, to baptize their children, and have their funeral Mass.

We are the current beneficiaries of many generations of parish families who have built up the church community, as well as the church buildings and equipment. Let us act with generosity in order to benefit our diocesan and parish family, now and into the future. Thank you!
