Moving Our Parish Forward
Who needs Jesus in your life? Who needs others to be available to help you to find Jesus in moments of difficulty, or joy? How many of you need the love of Christ in your life in order to keep your balance? The answer to these questions is “All of us!” one by One, all of us need the life of Christ in our lives.
This weekend is “Commitment Weekend” (“Ven conmigo”)! We have been preparing for this weekend for several weeks. Your commitment is a way by which to help all of us to know and love God more deeply, in our parish and in our diocese. Let us express our love for God and each other through the one by One Campaign!
We are already trying to move our parish forward. We seek to be more environmentally conscious and more efficient with natural resources. We
seek to be more responsive to our youth and young adults. We seek to be more available to families as they search for holiness in their lives.
You have been asked to consider what you and your family can do to help grow God’s church, to grow the family of God! Jesus sacrificed his life so that we might be forgiven and so that we might LIVE forever! In the past other people at St. Willebrord sacrificed and today we have a great parish. We are asking you to sacrifice over the next couple of years in order for the Green Bay Diocese and St. Willebrord Parish to live and grow for many years to come!
Parish Council and Finance Council members, parish staff, and other parishioners are leading the way by making sacrifices. We have already received promises for $146,210. Every day that number is increasing. We want you to help us to grow. We need everyone to be involved. We ask everyone to make a financial contribution and/or pray for the success of reaching our goals and accomplishing our mission.
A sacrifice of $1.00 per day over the next three years will make a great contribution to our goal. One dollar per day for three years equals $1,095. About 300 more families promising to give a dollar per day will help us reach our goal!
We invite you to have a family meeting and decide how the whole family can be involved. Parents, this means that you need to include your children.
Help them to find a way to help their parish family. The children in our Faith Formation Program will have a special role in the one by One Campaign. The future of their family of faith is important to them!
Peace, Fr. Andy
