Memorial Mass

Each fall, St. Willebrord Parish holds a special Mass in memory of all parishioners who have passed away during the previous year. This Mass typically takes place on the Saturday closest to All Soul’s Day (November 2). This year, the Mass will be held on November 9th. About one month prior, we reach out to the next of kin of the deceased to invite them to join us in honoring their loved ones.

At this Mass, the names of the deceased are read as part of the offertory petitions. As each name is read, the family of the deceased is invited to come forth to light a candle in memory of their loved one.

This Mass serves as a beautiful tribute to our departed parishioners, providing a meaningful opportunity for St. Willebrord Parish to honor both the deceased and their families in a special way.

Following the Mass, the families in attendance are warmly invited to join us for a breakfast reception
