Important Upcoming Events

As we near the end of the school year in Wisconsin there are important dates and events to watch for: Mother’s Day – Last Sunday (or May 10). If you did not speak to your mother, or offer a prayer, do it now!

Graduations – Our parish family will celebrate graduations of our students from high school, college, and graduate schools. We also honor those who have done certificate programs for ministry. We will have special blessings of graduates on June 4 at the 9:00 and 10:45 Masses.

Pentecost – “Receive the Holy Spirit!” Wear red to Mass. Pentecost Eve: June 3 – Youth bonfire! Come, Holy Spirit! Renew the face of the earth!

Memorial Day Weekend – We will celebrate with over 100 children and their families as they receive First Communion on Saturday and Sunday. We already celebrated 4 First Communions on the first Sunday of May. We will also have several baptisms after the 12:30 Mass on Sunday, May 28. Finally, on that Monday, we remember those who have died serving in the military.

St. Willys Jam – Sunday, June 11 we will celebrate Willy Jam starting with an outdoor Mass at 10:45. Mass will be followed immediately by entertainment and food. There will be children’s activities, a raffle, and a bake sale. Please take a yard-sign home especially if you live in a neighborhood with families. May each of you consider inviting a friend or other non-parishioners to come and experience and enjoy St. Willebrord Community.

Father’s Day – On Sunday, June 18, we will pray for and honor our fathers, living and deceased. Plan ahead to send special greetings and/or to offer up special prayers for your father.

Vacation Bible School – June 26-30 we will host children for a week of faith-centered activities. We hope you send your child to learn and grow with others. Space is limited. We will need volunteers to help!

V Encuentro: Parish Gathering – July 22, 9:00 – 5:00. This will be the Fifth (V) Encuentro for the Hispanic Catholics in the United States. Our parish has been holding special meetings of small groups which will culminate in a large group meeting on Saturday, July 22. Ultimately, the National Encuentro is September 20-23, 2018 in Gaylord, Texas. The purpose is to assess needs and form plans to meet the needs of Hispanic Catholics in the near future.

[Fr. Jack returns home, Thursday, May 25. Pray for his safe travel.]
