Baptism

Baptism is the first of the three Sacraments of Initiation, welcoming individuals into full membership in the Catholic Church. Through Baptism, one’s relationship with God is renewed, they receive the Holy Spirit, and become part of the Body of Christ.

For parents and sponsors baptizing a child for the first time, two preparation sessions are required. It is essential that both parents and sponsors attend these classes.

When selecting sponsors, please keep in mind that sponsors must meet the following criteria: they must be Catholic, at least 16 years old, confirmed, have received the Eucharist, and lead a life that reflects the role of a sponsor. (Please note, a sponsor cannot be the child’s mother or father.)

Additional Requirements:

  • A copy of the child’s official birth certificate
  • A $25.00 fee, due at the first preparation session

Baptism dates are listed on the parish calendar; however, these dates are subject to change.

Please reach out to Father Andy at least two months prior to your desired Baptism date to make arrangements.
